QuickBooks questions
- How do I connect QuickBooks Online?
- Sign in as the workspace owner, open Settings → QuickBooks and select Connect to QuickBooks. Sign in on Intuit's page, pick your QuickBooks Online company and select Connect. You come back to Settings with the company's name shown.
- I don't see the QuickBooks section in Settings.
- Only the workspace owner can see and change the QuickBooks connection. If you're a member or crew login, ask the owner.
- Settings says the connection expired, was revoked, or needs attention.
- That means QuickBooks no longer accepts GearHive's sign-in: it was disconnected from inside QuickBooks, it expired, or it couldn't be renewed. Select Connect to QuickBooks in Settings → QuickBooks to connect again. Your settings and mappings are kept, and nothing in QuickBooks was changed.
- I cancelled on Intuit's page, or the connection didn't finish.
- Nothing was connected and nothing changed. Start again from Settings → QuickBooks → Connect to QuickBooks, using the same browser all the way through.
- A job says "QuickBooks is busy — try again in a minute."
- QuickBooks asked GearHive to slow down, or was briefly unavailable. Wait a minute and try again.
- How do I disconnect GearHive from QuickBooks?
- In GearHive: Settings → QuickBooks → Disconnect from QuickBooks. Or disconnect GearHive from the Apps area of QuickBooks Online. Either way syncing stops, and nothing in QuickBooks is deleted (what disconnecting means).
- I connected the wrong QuickBooks company.
- Select Disconnect from QuickBooks, then Connect to QuickBooks and pick the right company. GearHive clears the old company's links (customers, vendors, items) so nothing points at the wrong records.
